Since love grows within you, so beauty grows. For love is the beauty of the soul. Saint Augustine

Fiat. One word...that changed the world.

Fiat-home.jpgMary's Yes to the providential plan of God allowed her to become an open vessel to be filled with the Holy Spirit. In her sacred space, Jesus Christ was brought into the world for the salvation of all.

"It can thus be said that women, by looking to Mary, find in her the secret of living their femininity with dignity and of achieving their own true advancement. In the light of Mary, the Church sees in the face of women the reflection of a beauty which mirrors the loftiest sentiments of which the human heart is capable: the self-offering totality of love; the strength that is capable of bearing the greatest sorrows; limitless fidelity and tireless devotion to work; the ability to combine penetrating intuition with words of support and encouragement."

Mary's Blind Obedience

Another of the 10 virtues of Mary according to St. Louis de Montfort, is blind obedience.

Today’s culture looks on “blind obedience” as negative. Look at parenting. Often we see parents reason with their child, even at a very young age (before the age of reason). Parents want their child to comply with their request because the child understands and chooses to do what is requested. Is obedience taught or encouraged?
